Is it just me, or is the Dragon not all that big?

Seriously, it’s about half the size of St.George’s horse.

Plus, it looks a little bit like a dog. It’s like an angry Rottweiler with scales and wings.

  1. This is one of my favorite pieces. The dragon is not supposed to be big. I think this painting shows evil in its last stages, in its most cippled nasty form, still trying to overtake good. It is about to be extinguished, and the white horse is the central point of attention in the picture, lifting its head and chest toward the heavens in a leap for freedom. I think its awesome.

    It’s a gorgeous work of art, truly. And I really like your interpretation of its symbols.

    But the dragon could have been a tiny bit bigger.
